Gasworks Curatorial Workshop

My exhibition piece at Gasworks Gallery, Vauxhall:
A montage of 35mm film clips depicting the life of a family during the 1960's.
This video piece addresses the fascination I have with human interaction within the home and how we interpret these nostalgic notions of visual imagery.

Artist Talk: Kate Lyddon

Kate came to Camberwell today to give a talk on her current practice. You could instantly tell that she has been strongly influenced by Francis Bacon; her paintings almost like a contemporary verison however using a brighter palette and perhaps more extreme figurative elements. Her work then progressed to scultpure, using ceramics to create these quite disturbing yet comical characters, with the additional use of paint and objects. Kate is now in the process of combining both painting and sculpture creating a more installational context for the work.

A work in progress

The Underground Gallery 'With A Murmur'

Whitechapel Gallery: The Bloomberg Commission

Josiah McElheny 'The Past Was A Mirage I Had Left Far Behind'
American sculptor Josiah McElheny transforms the Gallery into a kaleidoscopic hall of mirrors. Seven large-scale mirrored sculptures are arranged as multiple reflective screens on which he projects reconfigured abstract films.
